Maker Faire Rome is a place for young talents and kids who love to play and have fun. This year, the event dedicated to makers and creativity will host a huge Kids&Young area, featuring non-stop workshops, events and games. The activities program will be published soon on this website. Stay tuned!

You know, building your toys is far better than buying them. Today, manufacturing technologies can be as funny as easy to access for kids: 3D printers, safe circuits, remote controlled toys and smart building block are making a difference in the playground. It is time to let kids challenge technology and have a lot of fun – and learn something new.

Young makers will be able to make automobiles out of milk cartons using Arduino boards; invent musical instruments with fruit and circuits; bring tins of tuna back to life by turning them into tiny robots that move and draw; build 3D glasses, luminous circuits and air rockets and they will gain an understanding of the principles of physics and chemistry.

This year Maker Faire Rome will become a centre of technology and logic for children and young people – with a totally dedicated area!

  • more than 1500 square metres
  • 120 educational workshops
  • experiential tours accompanied by science group leaders
  • so many stands with lots of interactive activities!
  • competitions on show on the playing fields
  • a huge stage with science shows

Kids&Young activities are all included in Maker Faire Rome entry ticket. You can purchase it online or in Rome ticket offices before and during the event. Your kids will have a lot of fun. And they will become young makers, too.

Maker Faire Rome is an event for everyone! Families (at least one parent with one child) will be entitled to a 50% discount on the admission ticket – € 5.00 instead of € 10.00 – and children under 1 meter do not pay to get in!
